The Unogwaja Challenge is a 1700 kilometre bike ride from Cape Town to Pietermaritzburg followed by the Comrades Ultra Marathon – a gruelling 89 kilometre race from Pietermaritzburg to Durban that must be completed in under 12 hours.
The Challenge team consists of 12 people selected from around the world to participate and a team of 12 international supporters, and one of them is 65 year old – that’s right 65 year old – Andy Steele, who joins us on 100 Not Out from Brisbane.
Consider that Andy has had back surgery and has defied the opinions of many to do what he is doing today! Absolutely remarkable.
